In short, unless you submit personal information on our application (such as subscribe to receive email offers), no information can’t, in and of itself, be used to identify you by name and/or address, but it can be used to identify the device type you use (i.e. so we can collect information such as the browser type and phone manufacturers our visitors are using) by implementing cookies.
A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your computer via your web browser when you visit some websites. Think of a cookie as an ID-card that is unique for any given browser (except that ID doesn't know your name or address). Usually, the purpose of a cookie is to make the website experience better, and to allow the website to decide if the user is visiting the site for the first time or not. Cookies can’t be executed on your computer, and are not malicious. They are just text-files that allow a website to store a limited amount of text.
Other types of information collected
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in server log files (which are logs created by our web servers). The information in the log files include your IP address, your ISP, the browser name you used to visit our website (ex. Google Chrome), and the time you visited our website. We mostly use this data to understand what content users like the most, and to improve the site's performance through discovering pages that load slowly. Any data we store is secure on our servers and not visible publicly. We don't share this data with any third parties.
